General Function

The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate in research or creative activities.

Description of Primary Duties

1. Teach undergraduate courses in educational psychology.

2. Provides academic advisement for students.

3. Serves on departmental, college, and University committees.

4. Facilitates a learning environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

5. Contributes to the overall success of the Department of Psychology by performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.

Additional Qualifications

Education/Experience: Doctoral or Master’s degree in Educational Psychology or related field.

Skills: A willingness to contribute to the online teaching program.
The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures is required.
